Volkswagen announced as Official SCCA Pace Car

The Sports Car Club of America has announced that Volkswagen’s been chosen as an official partner to provide the Official Pace Car for SCCA and SCCA Pro Racing. That means SCCA SPEED World Championship races and the SCCA National Championship Races will feature a pair of VW GLI Fahrenheit cars as pace vehicles. VW will also provide 10 course vehicles for the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships, as well. Volkswagen will not be releasing an SCCA Official Pace Car edition of the GLI Fahrenheit, which, judging from the graphics treatment, may be a good thing.
